AlarmControlPanel is deprecated

Hi All, since 0.110 I get this in my log file, I’ve looked at the HA source code and AlarmControlPanelEntity doesn’t exist in the backend.

2020-05-22 08:26:51 WARNING (MainThread) [homeassistant.components.alarm_control_panel] AlarmControlPanel is deprecated, modify VisonicAlarm to extend AlarmControlPanelEntity

I’m the author of the Visonic Alarm Custom Integration, what do I need to do?

look in the 0.110 blog. Some internal calls have changed names and you need to update your code the use the new calls. At some point the old call will go away.

Ah I see, it’s one of those changes that the core developers do just to make sure the custom components are kept up to date and to ensure old custom components won’t work anymore :wink: :rofl:
