AlarmDecoder - Zones display properly, but can't Arm or Disarm Honeywell Vista p20

I recently installed the AlarmDecoder AD2USB to my HA setup. I installed the integration and configured the zones and arming preferences in the config. However, when I try to arm or disarm the p20, it doesn’t change its status from “disarmed.” Since there’s no yaml code to edit, I’m not sure what I should try next.

BTW, I checked my wiring and connection points on the alarm, and everything seems right. The green led flashed about twice a second, so it’s getting power.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thank you in advance!

Did you program your Vista P20 to the keypad address of the alarm decoder module? The Vista P20 will not take an arm/or disarm command without having the address programmed while in programming mode.

To enter programming mode you must have a 2 line English display such as a Honeywell 6139 or similar.
The fixed English displays will not work for programming.

Thanks Steve!

I guess I missed that step! I really appreciate the quick response and help!

Did that fix your problem? I have similar issues, but my AlarmDecoder is set to CON ADR 18, 18 is active on my alarm and I can use the AlarmDecoder to Arm/Disarm when it’s attached to a PC.

The other functions of AlarmDecoder work in HA: All the sensors show activity. When the Vista is tripped, it sends a trip state to HA to set off my phone.

I couldn’t test the solution, since the installer, never provided us with the master/programming code. I guess he wants to ensure that no one else takes over their role!
