Following this post, I’d like to get the notification but telling me exactly the current level of battery (as it is done with notifications from automations).
Still then, the notification part of the alerts does not seem to support message, unless you have a notify group defined with the message… but that would imply having a notify group per entity for which the battery is to be controlled (include the battery level in the message).
Does anyone know how to achieve it, or is this something not currently supported?
I would like to see this too. I’m going to assume it isn’t supported - I don’t see any documentation anywhere that would explain how to do it.
Instead of a “Garage Door Open” repeating message, I’d STRONGLY prefer to have “Garage Door Open for 30 Minutes,” then “… 60 Minutes,” etc. Or like you said, include the measured battery level.
The alert component works great except for this omission!
I could probably do this in appdaemon, but it seems like such a clean fit here. This may be a candidate for a cross-post to Feature Requests.
