with smart home APi, u can still use “Hey Alexa, turn on tv” or you need to use “Hey Alexa, Tell xxxxx to turn on tv”?

That’s all you need to say.

With media players:

Alexa, turn up the volume on the tv.

To turn on the tv,

Alexa, turn on the tv.

bedroom temp

Alexa, whats the bedroom temperature.

fan

Alexa, turn on the fan to high.

You get 1000% more flexibility with ASHS over emulated hue.

EDIT: I made the change, and I’m never going back because of the voice commands alone.

Just for completeness and to remind myself to finally switch, the regressions keep coming like clockwork. The current iteration is a tolerable “The device is not working” speech although it is working.
