Alexa finds some Home Assistant devices twice (duplicates)

My problem is that alexa finds some of these devices twice. I tried “Forget All” and “Discover” again, but it still finds some devices twice.

Did you ever figure out a solution to this? This is driving me crazy. I’ve deleted the emulated_hue.json, restarted home assistant, and removed all devices from the web interface. I am getting 4 and 5 entries for each emulated device every time I discover. The strange thing is that if I disconnect all my alexa’s and try to discover from my phone then it wasn’t finding anything.

UPDATE: I eventually found the solution in the thread How to efficiently flush emulated hue.

Mine was doing this with smart life devices.

What was happening was alexa was reading the config from the smart life skill & home assistant - thus duplicating the devices.

I disabled the smart life skill from alexa & deleted the devices associated w/ the skill & now only have one copy of each device

@Cheezlbub If I am understanding this correctly, your Alexa now needs to depend wholly upon your HA instance for these devices? Is that correct?

Is the Alexa web interface still available on PC? I can’t seem to find a way to edit/modify/delete dupes w/o going to the mobile app, which is god awful
