I’ve been using Garadget connected locally with MQTT for quite some time. I then pass the “garage door” to Alexa using HA Cloud integration. I used to be able to ask Alexa “Is the garage door open” or “Open/Close the garage door” and I could require it to give a code before opening. Recently, it gives me a response like “Garage door doesn’t support that” or “Hmm…I can’t control a group that includes a garage door”. Has anyone else experienced this? I also have my garage door passed through Homekit and Siri opens/closes just fine, but Alexa isn’t and I haven’t changed anything there.
I opened a similar thread related to this but with my MyQ opener exposed to alexa. I am wondering if Amazon changed something related to this line on their page. (My garage door works fine with Siri and Google assistant but not with alexa)
Perhaps the integration for the smart home skill needs to have the mode controller added.
