I’ve been using text-to-speech (tts) with Alexa Media Player for over a year without a problem. But a few weeks ago Alexa Media Player stopped working even though I didn’t change anything. All my Alexa Media Player connected identities are now in "unavailable” status. This is very annoying because several automations do no longer work as set.
Anyone an idea what could be causing this and how to fix it?
I reinstalled the Alexa Media Player integrations several times (HACS integration + standard integration), but that didn’t solve the problem.
The oldest full backup I have available dates from June 12th. I don’t think a restore of this backup will help either because the problem occurred before.
I always do updates (core and integrations) immediately.
Best regards
Hervé
2 weeks ago my AMP entities stopped working correctly too. I found re-authorizing them and/or reloading the integration sometimes helped, but within a day they failed again. This has continued, causing many of my automations and TTS commands to fail.
I used to be able to see/control the music playing on the AMP media players, but now they all just say “Idle.” Timers and other entities still work though, which is odd.
Not sure what’s going on.
I just installed this and I have the same issues. My media player entities never updates the states, only when restarting home assistant. Really frustrating as this was a big part of my use case with buying these Echo devices…
