Alexa media player - working with speaker groups

Hi. I use the Alexa media player custom component pretty extensively. I have a to control various and all echo devices.

I learned a while ago that using a target as a speaker group entity doesn’t always work (such as using media_player.everywhere (for an everywhere speaker group). Such as using it as a device to play tracks. I learned by someone that there is a workaround that (such as using the word everywhere when sending a message or command to a specific echo … play “track” everywhere.

Interestingly, some features do sort of work - such as setting the volume or muting media_player.everwhere. I have that working - partially. The real problem is although you can change the volume… the actual attribute isn’t updated for the media_player.everywhere entity.

I am trying to use that attribute to sync the volume with other speakers, and/or a variable.

Does anyone else see this and/or have a work around?

Thanks

No solution here but I’m having the same issue, my use case is to switch to max volume for doorbell then back to what it was previously set to. There’s some discussion here:
