I have 9 Echos around the house. Right now, 2 are showing as available, and the others are all unavailable. I think only around 5 are ever available at different times. As an example, the one in the main bedroom was available about 5 minutes ago, but now is not - at least until I wake it up with my voice.
I think a couple might have been purchased via Amazon.com, while the others were from .co.uk, so I understand that the .com one probably can never work, given that I used .co.uk in the set up.
None of the devices work with TTS, and never have (this is a pretty new install), regardless of whether they are available or not, or where they were purchased.
Is there a way to keep the .co.uk ones permanently available - and if possible, any fix for TTS ?
I am reasonably sure I used 2FA in the set up - although am not 100% sure.
Are you using Alexa Media Player (custom integration)?
Yes I am Pedro
I don’t have a d in my name.
Alexa Media Player is very particular with devices. Check your logs for errors and see what’s going on. Worse case, create an issue on the custom integration to find potential solutions. Lastly, can you post what you’re using for TTS?
Hi Petro
Apologies for the spelling
As a relative newbie, I am still coming to terms with all of this. Checking the logs was an obvious thing I did not do.
I have now, and my code was incorrect - looking at the wiki confirmed that.
I also see that it says my domain is incorrect, which seems odd, but I am going to try to reinstall.
Will reply again after that
I do appreciate the help
Petro
Reinstalled using a different domain, and…
All working !
At least for now, including TTS on the Alexas
Lesson for the day for me
Check logs !
Thank you again
