Greeting, Everyone,
Recently, Alexa stopped working properly on basic voice commands to control lights, fans, etc.
I am running the latest Supervised version:
- Home Assistant 2023.3.4
- Supervisor 2023.03.1
- Operating System 9.5
- Frontend 20230309.0 - latest
I am using the Alexa Smart Home Skill to interact with Alexa, and all was working fine until a couple of weeks ago, maybe?
If I tell her to turn on/off “the lights”, she turns on/off the lights in that room, as associated in the Alex app with the Echo being used.
If I tell her to turn off the “Office Lights” she works as expected. If I tell her to turn on the “Office Fan” she turns on the office lights.
It’s almost as if she stops listening after the room name. The same is the case for switches, fans, lights, remotes, etc.
I’m tempted to rebuild the Smart Home skill, but short of that, I’m not sure what to do to remedy the problem.
Is this unique to me, or has some recent update broken things?
