Hi all, I am trying to control my Daikin airco from my Alexa device. Apparently Alexa needs a dedicated skill for sending commands to the Madoka thermostat. Is anyone aware of where such skill can be found?.
The hard way to solve the problem is to sniff the Bluetooth traffic between my smart phone, where the madoka app runs, and the thermostat and then create myself the Alexa skill. This quite time and resource consuming, requires a bluetooth sniffer gadget, an analysis software like Wireshark and then getting familiar with the creation of Alexa skils…
Any hint?
Alexa skills are found through the Alexa app on your phone or through Amazon’s website (https://www.amazon.com/alexa-skills).
Just be aware that Amazon/Alexa has a history of not sharing control of devices connected to it. If there is any way to integrate your AC directly into Home Assistant instead, that will likely be less hassle in the long run.
Thanks for your reply. Perhaps I have to move to Home Assistant. I am however a bit reluctant as I have all my devices linked to Alexa at the moment.
