I’m experiencing an issue with the Zigbee2MQTT (Z2M) Web UI. A few days ago, I noticed that all devices have disappeared from both the Devices and Dashboard pages of the Z2M Web UI. However, these devices are still functioning correctly in Home Assistant.
I’ve tried restarting both Home Assistant and Zigbee2MQTT, but unfortunately, this hasn’t resolved the problem. As a result, I’m currently unable to perform any device configuration through the Zigbee2MQTT Web UI.
I don’t access the Z2M Web UI very frequently, so I’m not certain exactly when the devices vanished from the interface.
I would appreciate any assistance or guidance you could provide to help resolve this matter.
Hi Samsonfu,
Lets begin with basic troubleshooting
- Do you have an filter enabled (like search terms in the search bar)
- Did you clear your browser cache
Hi Tim,
Thanks for your hints. No filter or search terms are being used. I have tried to clear the cache from browser F12 and reset in settings, and also tried to load in an incognito mode page. The Devices and dashboard pages are always empty. It happens to all my clients (PC, Notebook, and mobile app). So I think it is a server problem.
I had this issue a while back. While some found it was cache / cookies clearance, I found lots of random PNGs in the devices.yaml
file. I deleted those and it worked again:
where is located this devices.yaml file?
Its in the zigbee2mqtt folder in HA config folder
Thanks for you answer, but actually those png’s were in configuration.yaml, was very long sunday evening removing them (87 devices), does anyone have any idea, where they come from? or maybe it is not needed to delete from all?
Thank you @Holdestmade, before the problem apear, i clicked on “localise device image” and a lot of strange png link apear in the configuration.yaml in zigbeetomqtt folder. i restored the last version of this file and all is ok now.
