All installed - just get an egg timer

Hi,

I am very new to Raspberry Pi’s and Home Assistant, but I have followed all of the instructions many times under Manual Installation, Hasbian Image and All-in-one Installer, but each time, when I try to get to the Home Assistant by browsing to the ip address:8123 from other PC’s on my network, I just see the Home Assistant logo with a circular ‘egg timer’ going round below.

I have left things running for up to a day in case it just needed time, but nothing changes.

Any pushes in the right direction would be much appreciated, or which install procedure is best (simplest) for a newbie etc.

So - after days of trying to figure this out before having posting my question above, I have now resolved the issue.

The problem appears to be with using Internet Explorer. It works fine with Chrome and Microsoft Edge.
