It would be helpful to tell Home Assistant to consider some energy readings, e.g. from smart plugs, as subsets of other energy readings, for example, from a CT clamp at the consumer unit.
In my case, I have CT clamps around each of the circuits at my consumer unit, so in my Energy Dashboard I have a reading for “Downstairs Sockets”. I also use smart plugs on some specific devices on that circuit, for example, the dishwasher and washing machine. Currently, I can either leave one or more of these out of the Home Assistant Energy dashboard, or put up with the fact that energy is double-counted because HA doesn’t know the dishwasher power is also counted under the Downstairs Sockets reading. It would be really helpful to allow grouping/subsetting of these readings.
