confronted with ‘hard’ manual labor setting up several statistics and template sensors, I realize we have no way to copy a given helper config for let’s say Mean, and paste that to aSum/min/max etc etc helper.
Given the fact I now had to enter 20 solar panels twice, and might need to add 2 more configs, it would have been very helpful if we could simply c&p a config, select the min_max option, next select statistical option, and be done with it:
another option would be to have a select box allow us to pick several in an attribute maybe? so we have 1 ‘mother’ entity, and several related options in the attributes.
Maybe the latter would be against HA guidelines of adding attributes to a single entity, I hope the former suggestion of C&P would get some positive feedback
It could maybe be as simple as open an existing helper, change some settings and then ‘Safe as New’, to not overwrite is but create a new entity?
