I use NFC Tools on Android for writing to NFC tags.
With the Pro version there’s an option to create executable tags such as those with a POST URL record.
When you scan these “action” NFCs on another phone without NFC Tools installed, it automatically calls for a small execution app (service only?) to install from the play store that allows the phone to carry out the NFC action without the person needing NFC Tools installed.
Having something like this with Home Assistant would be amazing.
Visitors would be able to trigger sequences around our home without needing (or wanting) the Home Assistant App installed and configured on their phone.
e.g. I have lights that automate off if no motion is detected for n minutes. In each room there are NFC tags set to toggle lights on + ignore the automation. Useful for when I’m doing something that requires me to be relatively still like chopping veg in the kitchen.
Allowing visitors to be able to trigger NFC automations after the first initial prompt would be amazing.
