Already have devices, should I move exclusively to Zigbee?

I’ve had a few lights/switches for a some years now running on their own apps (TUYA, YEELIGHT, HUE, KASA etc), and also linked to Google Home and Alexa. I’m now using HA and integrated these devices, and all working well. So as it is some devices are being controlled by the app they are paired with, Google Home, Alexa and now also HA as I learn about Automation’s.

One good thing about this is that if I had a new light to say to TUYA, I can straightaway ‘ask ALEXA’ to turn it ON or OFF by the name assigned in TUYA , and it’s available immediately.

I’ve now bought a Sonoff Zigbee 3.0 USB dongle, (successfully added a motion sensor), so would the way forward now be to unpair each light/switch from its own app and move them to the Zigbee controller? Also if I do this will they still be voice controlled by Alexa, this is more important for others in the household who like the way things work as they are?

I’m a bit wary of unpairing things that are working, that the family understand and use all the time, and ending up not having such a good system afterwards.

Integrate HA with Alexa, using the alexa integration and then you can voice control anything in HA.

With that done you can move anything you want to directly connected to HA and retain voice control.

Thank you, that sounds like good advice before moving on, much appreciated.
