Has anyone else who is using Merlin firmware noticed that they recently (due to Asus) stopped supporting the older AC66U model? I really like the functionality Merlin adds. What firmwares are you using that are being actively updated or do I need to buy a newer router?
you can always ask Merlin himself at Snbforums or you can switch to Johns fork of Merlin, i recently ditched Asus for Ubiquiti.
The whole Asus hype with AiMesh really made that firmware buggy
Thanks for the info. I like the look of Ubiquiti but not the cost so much 
I might see whats available and go from there or try Johns fork.
try johns fork since you already got the hardware if you dont like it go Ubiquiti
