Hi! I read few topic’s but I don’t get the answer to my self.
Unfortunately my HomeMatic IP solution don’t work with HA and majority all other devices ( lights, switches) are managed over HA , but radiator thermostat’s ( all climate) I must change from another app.
I almost ready to invest in new equipment - what is the best and working solution ?
Is thous are working ?
Or this ?
And to I need the Cube as well with MAX! Radiator Thermostats ? Or some another brand is better and cheaper ?
How about Homematic „Classic“? Your IP CCU should be able to control them.
Support for Homematic IP is worked on: https://github.com/home-assistant/home-assistant/pull/12761
Thermostats are not supported yet, but that will come sooner or later.
Until then using the CCU2 would be the next best alternative with existing hardware. You should be able to get a used CCU for less money because a lot of people are switching to the raspberry-matic solution. With the CCU2 the IP Thermostats are mostly supported and work pretty well.
I haven’t followed the MAX! cube component, but from what I’ve noticed I primarily heard of problems with it.
That’s excellent news for me. I’l remember when I asked about support for HomeMatic IP then felt that’s impossible to do, but when You say that the thermostats are supported sooner ( is the best option form me) or later, then I think I can wait until that. Soon is summer anyway
Looking forward for this solution. Can I test something with my HomeMatic IP devices ( main hub ( access point) , radiator thermostats (EQ3-AG HMIP-eTRV - thermostats (Digital, LR06 / Mignon / AA, 1.5 V, 120 mA, 5.800 cm, 9.700 cm)) , wall thermostat, Optic windows & door caontact, IP Power adaptor. I even have Alarm Siren, Smoke Alarm, Motion detector, wall button and multi IO box or Floor Heating Actuator 6 channels, but they are note connected because Home Assistant came to my life and HomeMatic IP wasn’t supported.
I’m not involved with the Homematic IP development. I think you can reach out to the developer of this custom component: https://github.com/sander76/custom_components/
He’s one of the guys taking care of Homematic IP. Maybe open up an issue there to offer your support.
