Alternative to G2 Gateways for Smart Locks?

Hi I have a working generic G2 Gateway for a smart lock. However the signal is weak no matter how close I put it to the lock.

There seems to be many of the little generic white boxes (TTLOCK compatible) and one black one with a little knob sticking out of it, from SMONET, and Hornbill, which are not available on Amazon anymore. I think they all run Bluetooth 4.0. I simply cannot find one which talks about better signal.

I was wondering if any of the Tuya or Zigbee gateways with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth could be used instead? Or if someone could recommend a better G2 Gateway?

Thanks a lot

Hi smurfhk

First of all, quickly answer your question, the Tuya or Zigbee gateways with BLE protocol from other manufacturers are incompatible with TTLOCK because TTLOCK uses a private BLE protocol. It will only function with a compatible gateway or one compatible with his private protocol.

I hope this answers your question.

Additionally, I hope you don’t mind, but I take the liberty of asking why you chose TTlock and your intended use or scenario.

Hi

Thank you for your response, much appreciated.
I use what I believe is a TTLOCK compatible device (because I saw an item for it on Github).
The device itself is a POPULIFE lockbox.
