Amazon Basics Light Switch Compatibility

Has anyone been able to get the amazon basics light switches to work with Home Assistant? They seem to use the Alexa app for configuration, so probably a similar API to the Amazon Smart Plugs (but I might be wrong). I saw these and they’re a pretty good deal so I was wondering if they integrate with Home Assistant.

Thanks,
Milan

If i am not mistaken, you can install Alexa media player custom integration and it might expose these devices (paired with echo devices) to home assistant

Milan, I was looking at the Amazon Basics Light Switches too, but unable to confirm they work with HA.

However, I came across the TP-Link Kasa Smart Light Switches on Amazon.com and they are pretty much the same price and they do have the TP-Link Kasa Smart Integration. And they also work with Alexa and Google Home whereas the Amazon Basis are only Alexa.

I have just purchased a few Amazon Basics Smart Switches and like them quite a bit. However I am disappointed that they are tied so tightly to Alexa.

I’m just getting started with HA but it looks like the process to get things working without the cloud is quite onerous.

Look into Martin Jerry switches on Amazon. They are $13 and come pre-flashed with Tasmota. All local and no cloud.
