Has anyone been able to find an economical way of getting these shipped to Australia? Or a local supplier?
Everything so damn expensive in Aus! Zwave minimote is $85!

I havent got a cheap way to buy them. The best alternative I have found are these (Requires the hub)
They are of nice quality and seem to work well. They also have 3 different triggers. Single click, Double Click and long/hold.
I will be interested also to see if anyone finds a cheap way to get them to Australia as I have seen they were on offer for $2 US
I currently use Flic Single bluetooth buttons for my lights. They work really well with HA, depending on the size of your house and bluetooth adapter. They are $20 USD each which isnt bad, and can be used for any function, but unfortunately shipping to Australia is expensive at $45 USD which means you need to order a lot to get good value.
Ive been monitoring the Xiaomi thread closely as this looks really promising. The Zigbee protocol is 2.4Ghz, same as bluetooth but as its mesh based, range should be better, and so far Ive seen the buttons as low as $7 AU with free shipping
I’ve also been looking closely at the Xiaomi thread but I already have zwave and hue… and was keen to play with the amazon dash… I guess a US mail forwarder could be an option.
The problem that ive read regarding the Amazon Dash button, apart from having to hack it (unless you buy the AWS version) is that there is quite a delay for the button to connect to wifi first, which makes it too slow for realtime use. Good though for triggering events where you dont need an instant response.
I use the dash buttons for many themed type events. Good Night or Good morning type of events. The 20 second delay in that sense is no big deal. They are on sale today!

Gearbest seem to be basically a shill for Xiaomi. Their service is highly variable. Their service is better (IME) if you use some expedited shipping like DHL.
But yeah I have bought quite a bit from them.
