Amcrest AD410 human detection no longer triggers in Home Assistant

Hi everyone. I have the Amcrest AD410 doorbell camera integrated with Home Assistant using the Dahua integration. Everything was working fine, then a few days ago the binary_sensor.front_gate_doorbell_smart_motion_human entity stopped firing. This should trigger every time the camera detects a human in the frame. I’ve confirmed alerts are working in the Amcrest app, but for some reason no longer passing through to Home Assistant. The entity is available is shows ‘clear’.

The standard motion detection sensor is firing in Home Assistant whenever the Amcrest app detects motion, but the human detection entity is not.

I have the following version of Home Assistant:

Home Assistant 2022.9.7
Supervisor 2022.09.1
Operating System 9.0
Frontend 20220907.2 - latest

I’ve tried restarting the integration, restarting Home Assistant and also restarting the camera. I’ve also looked in the logs but can’t see anything relating to Dahua that is logged at the same time the Amcrest app detects a human.

Hoping someone can provide some advice on how I can fix this, or even better has encountered this before and knows how to fix it!

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

did you solve this? I am experiencing the same

Issues with RRoller’s custom Dahua integration are best discussed in his Github repo.
In fact, this issue was already identified there, but has not received any response yet.

I just now responded to it - so check there to see if it helps you.

Thanks Gary. Actually I’ve had this issue occur a number of times now and it’s changed slightly. After several days all of the entities stop updating. I can still view the camera feed in Home Assistant and turn the ring light and security light on and off but none of the other entities fire (motion detection, human detection or doorbull button press). Reloading the integration fixes the issue.

I’ll go and share this on the Github repo as well in case someone there is able to assist.
