I’ve recently set up an Amcrest Indoor Camera (IP2M-841B-V3) for use as a baby monitor, using the inbuilt home assistant Amcrest integration to expose the motion and audio detection entities. The motion detection works perfectly and triggers an event almost instantly.
I’m having trouble with audio detection not triggering, but it is definitely enabled on the camera with a low (50db) threshold set. I’ve tried both the audio_detected and audio_detected_polled entities but it always remains clear.
I’ve also tried the Dahua integration which also doesn’t detect audio, only motion. Any ideas what could be the problem or how to troubleshoot?
