It would be nice to have support for the newer American Standard Thermostat UX360. Right now you’re able to connect it and get all current info such as temp settings, current fan settings, etc. but you cannot make any changes, it just throws an error “failed to call service”. From research, it seems that there’s currently no support for it in the integration.
I just upgraded my HVAC system and got the UX360, same situation. I can connect to it, and it’s reading everything (and I mean everything), but the instant I try and change anything I get
Failed to call service climate/set_temperature. 404, message='Not Found', url=URL('https://asairhome.com/mobile/xxl_zones/1/setpoints')
I’m more than happy to try anything for testing or verification, but I’m about as good at Python as I am juggling bowling balls.
I have this same issue.
I’m considering asking my A/C company for the 850 instead of the UX360. Not sure what the price difference is between the two.
It looks like there’s a PR to add UX360 support. Thanks @swamiller for finding it!
I added this for my new UX360 that was just installed with my new Trane HVAC system, and the current statuses of everything looks like it’s showing up in HA, but if I try to change the temperature, I get the following error message:
Failed to perform the action climate/set_temperature. 404, message=‘Not Found’, url=‘https://www.tranehome.com/mobile/xxl_zones/1/setpoints’
Unsure if that’s an error with my setup, or what… Hopefully there’s native support soon.
FYI as of HA 2025.9, the UX360 is now officially supported! I have 2 and the both are recognized and functional.
Thank you @bdraco!
Can confirm, working great for me! Happy to finally have this integration after a year of not being able to add it properly into HA ![]()
Thanks for the positive feedback! I wanted to provide a quick clarification on the current state of UX360 support to help set proper expectations.
While the UX360 is now functional in Home Assistant, I should mention that it’s not quite “officially supported” in the traditional sense. The main limitation is that none of the current code maintainers actually own a UX360 device for ongoing testing and development. Getting this working was actually a collaborative effort between three people, and I was fortunate to be able to finish up the final pieces thanks to a generous community member who temporarily shared access to their system.
This means that if Trane/American Standard makes any changes to their API or device behavior in the future, we may not be able to respond as quickly to fix issues compared to devices we actively maintain. I want to be transparent about this limitation so users can make informed decisions.
For context, devices like the XL1050/XL850 have more robust support since I have these in my own production setup and can quickly address any problems that arise.
The UX360 integration should work well for current users, but I wanted everyone to understand the support model going forward. Thanks again to everyone who contributed to making this possible!
Hey there, new user to variable speed heat pump/UX360 and new user to HA. When you said you could see “everything” what all could you see?
Right now I’m missing a few things I’d like to see, like fan speed %, power usage etc…
I’d really love to be able to see power usage and amperage like the tech’s can see. My buddy is an HVAC tech and he installed the system, so he showed me what the techs can see vs what the end user can see.
