I have a Pixel 3 running Android 12, and I normally use Device Controls, (which used to be on the power menu in Android 11 but have been moved to the Quick Actions panel in Android 12.) The states of these devices are all shown accurately, but when I tap on any device, it say “Error, try again.” I investigated and found this response to be the same on the quick actions triggers and widget triggers. I tried turning battery usage to unrestricted and enabling unrestricted data usage, but that made no difference. Opening the app still works fine and I can still control devices through my google home. It seems the app isn’t fully compatible with Android 12. I would like to know if others are having the same issue, and if anyone is working on patching this function. Photos included for reference.
There should be an error in the logs, we need to see that error in other to fix the issue.
Edit: also it works on my pixel 6 so the assumption it doesn’t work on Android 12 it’s incorrect.
I have just received a Pixel 6 running Android 12 and am experiencing the same issues.
This is the log entry I’ve just seen appear after tapping one of the android 12 device controls however I’m not 100% sure it is linked and may be a coincidence.

Unregistered webhook, try these steps
Thank you. None of the resolutions fixes the error unfortunately.
Check app configuration logs so we can see what the failure is. Also the linked steps are meant to be followed in order without skipping a step such as not substituting clearing data for reinstalling the app.
Same problem on Oneplus 8 pro with A12. Device controls work fine from the home app, but not via quick settings tile.
did you make sure to setup the data for the tile in Companion App Settings? If so then please check the logs for errors, we print when you update tile data and when you attempt to click on the tile. It will show us if you have data and if you used the correct tile for which you set the data on.
Well, solved the problem shortly after posting. Clearing the Google Home data fixed the issue.
Cheers.
Hello, I’ve also some issue with Homeassistant quick switches (on mY xiaomi with miui13)
When I rearrange the tiles it’s not getting saved … i think after ah reboot of the phone the buttons switch back to some default configuration… Is it only on my me?
the app does not get told where a tile is rearranged to, that sounds like a device issue. The app only knows when a tile is shown to a user or when its been selected and added.
