Please add any logs, details, etc. here:
My wife is having this issue on her phone, but mine is fine. Haven’t had a chance to look at it yet though.
I assume you all have tried force stopping the app and clearing the cache? I’d say I have this happen once a month or so and that always fixes it.
yeah force stopping the app works but same issue comes back again.
AND clearing the cache? Also, I found that it happened ALL the time while I temporarily had a very resource -intensive graph on a dashboard that I frequently viewed.
clearing cache doesnt help.
I have noticed this on my phone also since the 2024.1 update, on load it even sometimes comes up with the ‘refresh’ button trying and failing to find HASS (internal and external URLs setup). I do not feel that GH issue link is relevant as that is quite old, force quits, etc. Do not help.
Just chiming in to say same here. Wife and I both have Pixel 8s and both having super slow issues on Home Assistant Android app. Using a browser to connect is extremely fast as usual. It seems like it happened in the past 14 days or so. 2023.12.4-full is the Android app version with HA version 2024.01.04 (I see there’s an update to 05 now too). I’ve tried it through different URLs (Cloudflare proxy and local IP) but it’s painfully slow both ways. Edit: and yes clearing the cache and force stopping did clear up the issue (at least temporarily)
Similar issue here. I narrowed it down to my climate page containing all my thermostats. Changed all thermostat cards to tile cards and the issue now appears to be resolved. Worth a shot if you’re using a number of thermostat cards on a single page.
UPDATE: I’m still getting a log file entry when tapping the tile card for ‘More Info’ on each thermostat (which loads the thermostat card) however the overall app experience is far less laggy by using the tile cards instead of the thermostat cards.
