The phone is a Samsung S26 Ultra. I installed the app from the app store. It seemed to setup okay, but stops on the ‘location permission’ page and there’s no where to go from there. Backing up just loops me back. Stopping and starting the app goes back to the same page. So, it’s stuck there. What do I need to do to get it to finish the install?

Go to the Android settings → Apps → HA, and set the permission for location to “when app is used” or “All time”, depending on your needs.
Never mind. I got past that screen. There’s a little black box that appears on the bottom of the screen for about 2 seconds that says I need to allow permissions. I didn’t see it at first and had to hit the button several times to read the whole message. Anyway, it eventually stopped taking me to the permissions page. So, now it’s showing me stuff at the lower permission setting. Sorry. Today is my first day with Home Assistant.
