Everything worked perfectly until an Android security patch was applied.
Now, if I try to connect to the local Wi-Fi network (https://192.x.x.32:8123) or with the external url (https://domain.duckdns.org:8123) the Androd app crashes.
In order to connect I need to enter the url in my browser.
Any idea how to fix it?
Are the developers of the Android APP dealing with the problem?
Thank you very much in advance
Try clearing the data in the app settings.
Make sure to write a bug report on Github if it doesn’t work.
I’ve already done it several times and it doesn’t work.
How do I write an error report on Github?
I can’t get into the app at all
Https on local IP will never work. Make sure to get the logs as described in the issue template or we won’t be able to troubleshoot.
With http it doesn’t work either. I have not changed anything about the confurreción. Before it worked perfectly and without doing anything now it does not work
On the other hand, it is a problem repossed by many users over time.
without logs we cannot troubleshoot, we dont even know what the issue is. Make sure to get the logs as described in the issue template that was skipped when it was submitted.
Have you checked that the local url has not changed?
Check the router so that the IP is still the same.
It’s been quite some time that I have had connection problems with the app. When I did though uninstalling, rebooting the phone, and reinstalling the app got it working again.
The IP address is pinned to my router. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the app and the problem persists. And it happens on all my Android devices.
Thank you for your answers. I will enter with the url from my browser. But it is strange that this has happened.
uninstall and reinstall triggers android auto back up, try these steps in order instead: Troubleshooting | Home Assistant Companion Docs
Also we still need logs to further troubleshoot the issue as we dont know the actual cause of the failure.
