Android app keep trying to connect device to a deleted thread network

hello,

I just got a Bilresa from Ikea to test thread/matter. Unfortunately, the app keep trying to connect device to a deleted thread network.

while only two networks available are ha-thread-dcf1 and ha-thread-99b4

I have tried to uninstall openthread border router add-on and permanently delete this add-on’s data, but the ghost network keeps showing up. Does anyone know which cache I am supposed to delete?

If it was attached to a network that is now deleted, I believe you need to factory reset the device and use the barcode that you threw away after first programming it to reset it to a new network. I’m not an expert.
I suggest throwing the device away as the mfgr intended if you change thread networks.

thank you for your answer.

The device has never been connected to any network yet.

I had similar problems with my KAJPLATS, in my case even after factory reset, 12 on /off cycles, it was still looking for deleted network.
Luckily with my other smartphone, which I used for original first installation I managed to do it.
Things I did:
Pairing reset(6xon/off)
Factory reset (12)
Google play clear cash
Companion app clear cash
Companion app credential refresh
2.4 network while trying to pair
I wish you luck, report back if you manage to fix it.

I don’t want to clear the google play services cash because I am afraid of unexpected side effects. However, I have try with a different phone, and I got the same error message as the one in the screenshot in post #1. I am clueless…

According to this bug report there is an issue with updating network cred on android but it still does not explain the issue with the second phone.

I cleared the cache in phone which never managed to connect to proper network.
So clearing the cache didn’t help.

no, just clearing the cache did not help. I did try to do it before posting actually
