Android app - Sendit MQTT

Finally released on Google Play Store, but of course still under development with more features and optimizations to come!

The goal with the app is to offer a simple, yet powerful, way to integrate your phone with your home using MQTT. As of today you can listen for events like battery charging status, incoming calls, missed calls and incoming text messages. More events under development.

It’s also possible to set up geofences to easily trigger things when you arrive at locations of interest.

I’ve tried to make the app as intuitive and easy to use as possible, and I hope it can help you with your automations.

The app has a premium mode where you have unlimited access to all features. Without premium you are limited to have two events enabled at the same time and one geofence set up.

Any plans for Tasker integration?

No, not for now. The whole idea is to offer a more simple way to create these kind of triggers/automations. With that said, it’s absolutely not meant to be some kind of replacement of Tasker, but maybe an alternative/complement for those who want to get started more quickly with these kind of MQTT events.

The idea actually came to me when I sat there trying to get things up and running with Tasker and plugins.

how can i set value_template for battery level
when i put {{ value_json.level }}, the number shows under 1

Trying this app as Zanzito keeps crashing so looking at alternatives. Is there documentation? I’ve configured a base topic but I don’t see any connections on my MQTT server or anything being published. Would like to make sure it works before I buy it.

EDIT: Got it working, URL (to me) implied http/https prefix but removing it I now see topics being published.
