Android Companion App - shortcut doesn't connect to specified server

I have two HA instances, both accessible from my local network, although one is across a site-to-site VPN. I want to create a way to quickly select which instance I connect to. I know the 3 finger upward swipe, however this doesn’t work on my OnePlus 12 phone.

In Settings > Companion app I have 2 servers, both with a Home Assistance URL specified. I have left Home network and internal connection URL as Not specified.

If I open the Companion app, I am able to connect directly to the local server. If I go into Settings and Activate the remote connection, that works too.

I use the companion app settings to create two shortcuts, one for each instance. When I use the shortcut to the local server, that works fine. When I use the shortcut to the remote server, I get 404: Not found and the “Unable to connect to xxx” message. If I Refresh External URL, it then connects. I can’t for the life of me understand why this would happen - any ideas? Also, is there any other method yet to switch between servers, other than the 3 finger swipe that doesn’t work?

Anyone? Does no one else have this issue?

check your server URLs and the shortcut path setup. A 404 usually means an invalid URL somewhere

The URLs are fine
