Android Tv integration

Hello,

I’m trying to integrate android tv into HA and it doesn’t seem to be working.
In integations, it asks me for host, I presume I have to put an ip address of the tv in there, but that seem to work.

Secondly, I tried another way in config.yaml (see picture below) This gives me a config error. What am I doing wrong?

What type of android tv are you trying to add?

TCL , the adb debugging is on too

When you put ip address of android tv, you are supposed to give permission to incoming request from home assistant on your tv screen. Be sure that your tv is on and check if there are any permission requests pending

theres also ports here, do I need to mess with them or keep them the same?
the tv is on, but it keeps saying failed to connect.

Try with 8090 port, just googled something. TCL Android TV adb - Karthi softek

There are 2 ports:

Port and Port of Adb server.

Shall I change it to 8090 for both of them?

Play with second one, adb server port

So at the moment I can turn it off, and change volume. Do you know how I can do more advanced things, like turning it on via lan, or chaneg source etc.

Not sure if all folders have this tick out of the box

Try ping it ie every 15 sec. At least that worked for me but I dont use adb. In my case it worked very unstable.

I have this exact same issue with my Philips TV POS9002. I’ve tried entering 1925 as the port value but that didn’t work for me and I’m stuck with the Failed to connect response. I’ve definitely enabled debugging on my TV (went through Android settings, enabled developer options and toggled the debugging switch on screen). Am stuck and would appreciate any pointers!

There is very limited use. You can only turn off the tv and change volume. You cannot even turn it on.

But to make it work, keep everything default. I didn’t charge any ports. And it worked for me
