OK, I finally had time to look at this and tracked down the issue and it is fixed in the next version.

Let me start this by saying I have been fighting with HA all day trying to get the 0.40.2 upgrade and then the 0.41.0 upgrades installed. It has taken a day of my life I will never get back. I think the last I heard we are getting beta 3 tomorrow Sunday. Can I ask that beta 4 be 3 weeks later to put the dashboard beta releases on a different weekend cycle from HA. I want new features to play with as much as everyone else. But while I love playing with this, until HA can get their installs working smoother it’s killing me. LOL

I saw some kind of media player widget in hadashboard… is there something new?

My css style sheet is not displayed if I only set the parameter “skin=” to my skin but don’t set “recompile=1” too… Some days ago this did not happen. Recompiling everytime takes a lot of time on my raspi.

Can anyone help me? I believe I read something about this somewhere but didn’t find it anymore. Sorry.

EDIT: i found the thread I read of recompile=1. It’s here: Announcement: HADashboard v2 Beta!
Perhaps the same problem. No solution found though.

Can anyone help me with this? This error comes up when I try running, what am I doing wrong?

thats why i am on a 3 month upgrading cycle
every time there is an upgrade from HA i see topics here on the forum about problems and people who have stuff not working.
my HA is there to control my lights, music, temperature, and lots more.
that must be reliable, so i just wait with upgrading untill i see something i want and that wasnt there before, and then only after i know that all problems are solved again

i think its time to have a save version and a testing version.

i am very glad that the updates from AD are a lot more save.

a few posts back old_bloke had the same problem.
see post 412 for the solution.

I really did search this topic first, can’t belive I missed that… It did the trick for me as well.

I think you have a good idea there. I normally don’t go with a .0 release of anything. I wait till it’s ben out a while and has some service packs. The problem with HA is there’s never a cooling off period. There is always new functionality going in and while for the most part, it’s very stable. The install process on it is killing me.

And yes, you are right on the money with AD. It’s rock solid. Even the dashboard, which is a beta, once installed, it’s worked as advertised. The conversations out here are more about adding new functionality than about existing functionality not working. Yall have done a WONDERFUl job testing it out and getting it ready to go.

What version of AD are we on now? 1.5.2???

The particular issue you highlighted in the thread above is fixed in the next beta which will be available hopefully later today.

looking forward for it.

i dunno.
i was running 1.3.6 right before i got over to the beta

1.5.2 is the latest non beta version of AD, however, the dashboard is still AD and is at 2.0beta3

Is there any way to also change the mode from heat to cool on the climate widget as well?

So Beta3 is available now???

Can you share how you set up the iframe widget to show camera output? I can’t seem to get it to work…

I just want to say:
@aimc you are obviously doing a great job with this app. There seems to be nothing but praise for it!

The alpha testers are also doing wonderful too - seems like you folks are catching the majority of issues before it gets made available to everyone else.

I haven’t had a chance to get this set up yet, but I’m super stoked to do so, reading through the beta threads!
