Hey @robbiet480, how is the App store submission looking?

I would love to try out the IOS app. My background is programming PLC and robotics. Can someone let me know where to get the app.

Can you read, too? So look 9 posts back…

Oh I missed that one. So your saying its on the app store?

Honestly though, no need to be unfriendly

Really looking forward to the app, hoping it will be in the App Store soon

I still haven’t submitted. I had a somewhat sudden vacation and then got the flu for a week.

Hoping to submit it this coming week.

Sorry again for the delay, life just gets in the way sometimes y’know?

I hate that thing that gets in the way… most of my home automation is still using vendor apps!! One day it will all be in hass

@robbiet480 The flu sucks! Wishing you a speedy recovery. I’m new to HA, so sorry if it’s been addressed already, but is this planned to be a for-pay app?

Thanks Robbie. I look forward to using the app.
Hope your feeling better.
And oh ya. Kolossboss was not not nice now that I look back his post.

Honestly, I hope he charges something for it. I’ve been using the beta for a few months now and the location detection alone is worth so much to me.

I wouldn’t mind paying for a good app and continuous patches/improvements. I’d rather pay than get some sort of freemium version. Plus if an app is seriously good I’d just pay to support the developer(s)

The only paid part (which isn’t even implemented yet) is if you need more than 150 push notifications per day. I calculated that we can have something like 10,000 users at 150 pushes per day and i’ll be within the AWS Free Tier. Even after that it’ll only be like $10/month.

Thanks for the support though

I read that as 150 pushes per MONTH and thought I’d probably not reach that for awhile… haha…

Well please at least set up a paypal (etc) donate link. Will you be publishing the code or putting it on github etc?

EDIT: I was under the assumption that AWS only had free services for 12 months. Then what?
EDIT2: Nevermind. I see there are certain parts that expire @ 12 mo and others that are “always” free.

The average user is doing about 10-50 pushes per day currently. I only see someone get above 70 if they have a bug in their system or get notifications for every event.

It’s already on github.

Looking forward to it!! More than happy to pay a few $$ for all the hard work you put in!!!

I hope your feeling better!

Too bad it needs iOS developer license. Push notifications are not allowed to unsubscribe developers.

@robbiet480 - sorry if this isn’t the right place for it. Someone asked last year about where you wanted bug reports, but I didn’t see an answer. I might have missed it.

The app reports that restart is an invalid mdi icon, but it’s in the list at: https://materialdesignicons.com/ and it works in the HA front end.
For now, I’m using reload instead, but I’d rather use restart.
Should this icon work?
