I’m looking for a bunch of smart locks for my house that work with HA.
I’d like fingerprint, and physical key.
I will take zigbee, zwave, bluetooth, or wifi connectivity. I’m OK with all of them.
My only requirement is that it works 100% without ANY cloud integration. I do not want to give any information to any third party to activate my locks. Even if it’s temporary.
Oh I guess I lied. I have one more requirement: no having to buy extra hardware to make it work like Aqara.
Nearest I can tell, I’d have to add the ‘keypad touch’ to make it fingerprint ready, and I know beggars can’t be choosers, but that might be the ugliest product I’ve ever seen in my life.
Ultraloq Z Wave bolt is another option.
I had the wifi version, which stopped working after more than 1 year.
Then I did receive a replacement but even that one stopped working several months later.
I’m not sure if they’re rectify this with the z-wave version.
Ultraloq locks aren’t an option. They require an account with ultraloq (including a phone number they will text to verify) to enable zwave inclusion mode.
So at the recommendation of this thread, I tried a SwitchBot and that’s being returned, as that also requires an account to get the encryption key for the device to be able to use it with HA (plus being able to calibrate it).
I feel like I’m taking crazy pills. It should be possible to get a smart lock that doesn’t require an account with some random 3rd party corporation.
