Any hardware controller/switch for media control available, that can be used with Home Assistant?

Hello!

Does anyone know of a good hardware control for media control (play/pause/next/previous/louder/quieter) that can be used together with media_player (Logitech media server)?

Sometimes it is easier to press a button for louder or pause than serch the correct window for Logitech media server control. So I am searching for some hardware that works. Ideally it should increase the volume in slow steps when the volume louder button is pressed and hold.

Does something exists?

Forgive my ignorance, what is a Logitech media server?
Does it have HDMI? If yes does it have HDMI CEC?
If yes that is probably the solution.

HDMI CEC allows other devices to controll each other.
Such as my TV and receiver remote (2 remotes, different manufacturers) can control the sound of the receiver and both can control my Chromecast.

It is a server for Multiroom music (local music, internet radio, streaming services like Spotify etc.).
I am using a piCorePlayer https://picoreplayer.org installation on a Pi 4B with a few clients (Pi 3B+ with 7" touchdisplay also with piCorePlayer, Airport Express).

So there is no HDMI-CEC control possible but thank you for the suggestion!

I don’t know of any media remote specifically, but if all else fails you could repurpose a hue dimmer switch for this. You have the 4 hardware buttons, plus long press and hold for each button.
