I got my HA Blue/Odroid N2+ recently and after some initial troubles setting it up (I had to reflash the eMMC) I got it working. But it’s really slow. Switches (via Sonoff/NodeMCUs with esphome) take ages to fire off lights, and the user interface is a little painful. Maybe 15-20 seconds to load the ‘Supervisor’ tab.
I used to run HA on an old laptop - specs so old I’ve forgotten - in docker and it was lightning fast. I figured this would give me reasonable performance as well as less energy consumption.
I don’t have loads of stuff running - esphome with 33 devices, samba, SSH & web terminal. plus integrations for LIFX, met.no and the mobile app.
Any tips for how I can speed up performance? All suggestions (within reason) appreciated.
