I just added my son to HA, want him to have access to the outside lights, the thermometer and the garage door opener. Actually I just want him to have rights to a dashboard I set up for him ONLY. My wife and I would be the only admin’s.
He is able to see any dashboard, the main one, my personal one and my wife’s dashboard and has access to anything. HE IS NOT given admin rights what’s going on ?
There is no role based access control implemented however if you edit the dashboard then edit each view you can set the visibility of the view there.
OK i had setup a dashboard for each person. I guess i could have one dash and as you say each dashboard item can have visibility adjusted to a particular person or multiple people?
In other words he could see garage door opener or floodlights along with us BUT limit his visibility to bedroom lights or an electronic lock if I put one (probably) lets say in my workshop. Tired of him losing my tools!
