Anyone had any luck getting ESPHome onto a Calex UK smart plug?

I got a few tuya based Calex smart plugs like these from Tesco ages ago now… I’d like to get ESPHome onto them.
I can’t find them on Tescos site any more, but I’m pretty sure they still have them in my local shop.

The casing’s tricky to get apart without wrecking it, so serial flashing them isn’t really an option. I’ve opened one of them though and there’s a controller marked TYWE2S inside.

I’ve had no luck getting either cloudcutter or tuya convert to do anything with them.
Has anyone been able to un-tuya these? If so, how please?

Cloudcuttter’s only for beken, and it looks like the calex tuya firmware has already patched tuya convert exploit.

Someone did share that you can still open the case by applying some heat gun around the edges to loosen the glue then use a thin knife to pry it open.

I thought it might mean opening them all up.
Having tried to get the one I’ve already opened going, and managing to rip a pretty essential pad off the main board, I might just have to stick with using tuya local :frowning_face:
