Anyone having any luck with emulated_hue and the new iOS 10 Home App?

My emulated hue works OK with Alexa but I can’t seem to get the home App to recognize my HA instance - does anyone have this working?

Not sure about the Home App, but some devices/apps won’t pickup a hue (emulated or otherwise) unless it is running on port 80. It could be hard coded in Apple’s Home App, which would be stupid, but I had the same problem with homebridge also not seeing my HA Bridge emulated hue unless it was on port 80

emulated_hue is not exposed as a HomeKit bridge. The only significant open source implementation of the HomeKit protocols currently is Homebridge. You can set up Homebridge and homebridge-homeassistant if you wish to expose everything in Home Assistant via HomeKit for use in the Home app. I use Homebridge with my iPhone, it’s very reliable and I would highly recommend it.

Ahh, thanks Robbie, I misunderstood how Alexa was supporting Hue - I thought it was HomeKit for some random reason - thanks for clearing that up! I’ll give Homebridge a try.

I have Philips Hue v1 Bridge also I have installed the Homebridge and homebridge-homeassistant plugin but I can’t see Philips lights in Home app on iOS. The Limitless lights show up in Home app just right, no luck with Philips lights so far, any advice?

Ok, solved it. Restart of Homebridge worked.
