Anyone planning to integrate Luminea smart plug into HA

Bought one of those switches/plugs because they are cheap. There is an App but I would prefer to integrate control into my HA installation.

Is anyone planning to do the integration?

Thanx in advance

Any news about this? I’am interested too, unfortunately I’m not able to do it myself :frowning:
the luminea devices are connected to the wlan, so they could be adressed directly without hub.

Or does it works only with a flashed tasmota firmware via MQTT integration?

Direct acces without flashing firmware would be very nice, especially not all sensors can be flashed.

No, I sent the plug back. Currently I play with a Shelly Plug s.it provides mqtt and I have to explore how to integrate correctly.

Apparently Luminea plugs are compatible with Tuya App, which is compatible with Tuya IoT Platform, which is compatible with Tuya V2 integration, which is compatible with Home Assistant.

But it’s a nightmare setup and I failed at the last step to get Tuya V2 to authenticate with Tuya IoT Platform: Install Tuya v2 Β· tuya/tuya-home-assistant Wiki Β· GitHub

edit: After realizing country code is a number, I could connect, but the setup is still terrible, since you need to have the app running 24/7 for the IoT platform to send data. So in summary

Plug β†’ LAN β†’ Internet β†’ (some cloud storage) β†’ Internet β†’ App β†’ Internet β†’ IoT Platform β†’ Internet β†’ Home Assistant.

It also only sends 4 values (on/off, voltage, amp, watt).

I think I need to figure out how to communicate with the plug directly (via LAN) or get a new plug that can do it.
