APEXCHARTS Needs A Fork, Development Appears Stale

Greetings,

Many people have been patiently waiting for bug fixes and improvements to this excellent custom card, but the developer behind the project seems to have stopped doing much development…

Specifically, there is one pull request that has been merged into the development branch, but a significant amount of time has passed without it being added to stable. This merge adds a critical ability to use the “difference” feature of statistics to compare two periods.

I’m not totally familiar with the development process, but maybe someone with some development experience could help us out by forking this project and continuing to handle some of the more basic tasks of keeping this add-on useful? In the case above, someone appears to have written the fix, but it’s not making its way into the code. And a review of the commits by the user shows very little development for quite some time.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Obviously, we can’t expect someone to bow to our needs when they may have other priorities in life, but this card is useful and it shouldn’t die a slow death because a developer is busy. It has a lot of useful development wrapped in it, and hopefully it can be salvaged and/or resurrected…

Have a good day…
