Api password?

First time using ESPHome. I am confused by this. I know it’s the “api: password:” variable set in the yaml file for the device I’m working with. At first it had no password, but I’m thinking that’s not what it’s asking for.

Scratching my head here…

Btw I’m trying to turn this TTGO ESP32 camera into a doorbell. That’s the project.

I expect something like that in your yaml:

  encryption:
    key: "zmbn0rPjJ40urLU=gqKNP7ba/fses1ZmUlWM6EMy+BMo"

maybe it’s hidden in your secrets.yaml?

Ah, that was it. I had
