[App] Prefetcharr — TV Series prefetch add-on for your *arr stack

This is an app wrapper for Prefetcharr
Automatically have Sonarr fetch the next episodes of the show you’re watching on Jellyfin, Emby, or Plex.

Prefetcharr periodically polls your media server for active playback sessions. When you’re nearing the end of available episodes, it instructs Sonarr to search for and download the next ones — so they’re ready when you get there.

Features:

  • Runs stably alongside Sonarr on the same box in HA.
  • Customize how many episode should remain before downloading the next season/episode.

Installation:

  1. Add https://github.com/Xornop/ha-apps as a repository under Settings → Apps → Install app → ⋮ → Repositories
or just use this Open your Home Assistant instance and show the add app repository dialog with a specific repository URL pre-filled.
  2. Install “Prefetcharr”
  3. Edit the config and run.

This does not work. I would suggest testing your install instructions before posting them blindly based on what you copied from elsewhere:

  1. Go to Settings > Add-ons (formerly the Add-on Store).
  2. Click on the Add-on Store button in the bottom right corner.

Suggestion:
Add-ons have been renamed to Apps about a year ago now.
Using the term Add-on with new software can cause some confusion because people have been trying to find add-on in the HA UI, and it is no longer there.
Please consider a wording revision.

A simpler approach may be to use the Create a link – My Home Assistant facility…

Thanks for pointing that out in all three of my recent posts. I have edited them all and the github to use the new “app” instead of the old “add-on”.
