App widgets in android galaxy s25 stoped working

Hi to all,

I have configured a couple of android widgets that have worked flawlessly for several years in many phones. A couple of weeks ago they stoped responding with an instant “unable to call action” error. I checked app permissions, some phone cofigurations, and all seems normal. I created a new one to ckeck and does not work either.

Any one having the same issue ?

Is it related to the Google abandonment of the old and conversion to the Gemini affliction, whatever that is?

Also this [sounds] like a Google – Android question, not a Home Assistant Companion App one.
Is there a Home Assistant angle to the inquiry?

The widgets are HA Companion widgets. I thought that was a legitimate angle. I thought it might have been a recent update that caused the issue, and I was trying to assess if other people had it and rule out some variables.

Or if anyone had a debugging suggestion.
