Apparent hang initial connection to Bose Soundtouch

I’m very new to Home Assistant. During the initial activation of Home Assistant on Ubuntu 18.04, I was pleasantly surprised to see Home Assistant auto detect my Bose Soundtouch, but something is not working. The terminal window seems to hang while executing “Seting up media_player.soundtouch.” I’ve let it sit for over half an hour. To see if there was anything actually going on I rebooted the Soundtouch, and received a disconnection error. I plan on heading to work and leaving it for the day to see if the Soundtouch is communicating slowly. (Firmware updates have taken 40 minutes in the past.)

My question is two parts. First, is there anything I should do before trying this again? And is there a way to bypass the auto detect of the Soundtouch so the initial configuration can complete? I’m willing to come back to this later and retry it.

If anyone has been down this path before and can offer advice, I’d appreciate it. Thanks!

Hi, I have a similar problem… Never manages to get my soundtouch devices setup at all…

Below is my log (Adding debug to mediaplayer / discovery, does not give me more information)

Any tips on how I can look further into what is going wrong?

Nico, sold everything and went Sonos… (sad but true)
