Motion sensors do a good job at detecting motion. They are less good at detecting people watching TV, working at a desk, sitting on the toilet, or doing the very suspicious activity of sitting still.
I prefer solving things with logic and the sensors I allready have, rather than buying yet another bit of hardware. In this case, yet another mmWave sensor.
So I made Advanced Presence Detection. *sparkles* roughly based on, and expanded on the “wasp in a box” idea.
It combines motion sensors with controls like a door contact, media player, light, switch or helper, and creates one calculated presence sensor. Cooldowns, grace time and no-motion timeouts can all be configured through the UI.
It is now avaliable directly in HACS please try it out if it fits your needs:

Feedback and bug reports are welcome. There are probaly situations I didnt think of.
