Apple TV State

Hi,
I’m trying to get hass.io to properly discover my apple tv device (I have home sharing enabled). While the apple TV is listed in the overview section its state is shown as “Establishing a connection to Apple-TV”

when I try to perform a scan nothing is returned. Can someone help me to resolve this please?

Hey David,

Here’s what works for me when my Apple TV 4 throws the same error every couple of weeks:

  • Turn off home sharing assuming it’s enabled.
  • Restart ATV
  • Turn home sharing back on

Do I need any apple tv specific entries in my config? I only got as far as i did by manually adding it
