So the app for iPhone has just had an update and now includes a sensor for Apple Watch battery, I’d also like charging state like you can do on the iPhone, iPad and Mac.
I’ll have to use iCloud3 for this still

I disabled my 2 Apple Watches in HA because it drained the batteries.
Yeah I got used to that, getting a new one anyway which should help mitigate it
I have the Ultra II. Though that watch has a longer lasting battery it still drains a lot.
Oh good to know, thank you! Great to know your opinion even with a good battery. Do you use anything else for this now?
You should not have an issue if you charge the Ultra II every night, but it may get close.
I don’t use anything in HA with the watches (I also kept my Watch 4 for over night sleep monitoring while the Ultra charges) and I don’t think that I need anything in HA for the watches.
Yeah makes sense! I just use it for charging notifications really but I’m getting a watch x when it comes so I should be okay from then. I’m thinking of just charging it everyday when I’m in the shower because it’s rumoured to have the same battery life as the ultra…apparently!
So like you I might not even need it in HA
Long showers
Exactly what I thought
Your Apple Watch charging situation can be a bit of a hassle sometimes. I’ve had my share of moments where I thought my watch was charging, only to find it still sitting at the same battery percentage. I’ve learned always to check the charging cable and ensure it’s snug in the charger. Sometimes, just a little shift can do wonders! Also, try restarting your watch now and then. It’s like giving it a little nudge to wake up! If it still acts up, maybe consider checking the settings or even looking for updates. Apple loves throwing in those software fixes!Oh, and if you’re into watches, I recently found this awesome patek philippe calatrava replica.
have to say all 3 Apple watches in our home have Home Assistant on them for some action triggering at the wrist) and we’ve never had any power drain issues…Apple Watch 7 at 3 years old still lasted a full day without and my Ultra 2 lasts three days without issues with 60 minutes of exercise tracked a day with streaming audio
All that aside, the addition of the Apple Watch Battery Level and Battery state seems to be quite delayed…not sure how it is triggered…as when I’ve had a watch on charge for a few minutes the state doesn’t change at all (im not expecting the battery level to update, but the charging state id expect to change as the phone does…
